Ernest Wayne Earley

Ernest Wayne Earley, 80, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015.

Born Oct. 16. 1934 in Bainbridge, he was the son of Clifford and Reba (Gibson) Earley.

He was a 1952 graduate of Bainbridge High School.

He had also attended Purdue University.

He married Nancy C. (Vote) Earley on Jan. 24, 1960.

Ernie was a custodian at Greencastle Middle School for 21 years, had driven a school bus for North Putnam High School for 26 years, worked as a carpenter and farmed.

He was a member of the Sherwood Christian Church and 40-year member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Earley; son Roger (Cindy) Earley; sister Carol (Robert) Gray; grandchildren Laura Earley and companion Tiffany, and Eric (Mindy) Earley; and nephew Rusty Hitch.

He was preceded in death by parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 8 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with interment to follow at Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
