Gleaners food pantry for seniors Thursday

Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana has scheduled another Senior Mobile Pantry event Thursday, June 11 for Putnam County residents age 55 and older.

The latest venture is slated for Thursday at the Greencastle National Guard Armory (northeast corner of Arlington Street and Shadowlawn Avenue), beginning with registration at 10 a.m. (individuals are asked to not arrive before 9:30). The food giveaway will conclude at noon.

To receive free food, residents must present an ID offering both proof of residency and age. Participants are asked to bring their own bags or boxes to carry the food.

Seniors must come in person in order to receive food. No substitute pick-up is allowed for those unable to attend themselves.

All persons are asked to park in the back of the Armory and use the back door.
