GFD Golf Scramble

With benefits again going to the Hoosier Burn Camp, the Greencastle Fire Department is sponsoring its 16th annual golf scramble at Windy Hill Country Club on Sunday, June 14. Helping to sponsor the event this year is the Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters Local 133, whose Dave Wells (second from left) and Greg Tucker (right) recently presented a check to GFD Assistant Chief John Burgess (left) and firefighter Jeff Elkins. Cost is $50 per player and $200 per team with entries limited to the first 14 teams per flight. Registration for the morning flight is at 7:30 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Afternoon registration begins at 1:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. shotgun start. Pick up an entry form at Windy Hill or at the Greencastle Fire Department. Mulligans are $5 each and are limited to two per player. The tournament will feature prizes for first, second and third place, as well as for longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt.
