Patricia L. Asher King

Patricia L. (Asher) King, 79, of Roachdale, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Countryside Meadows in Avon.

She was born on May 23, 1936 in Bainbridge to the late Glen and Goldie (Miller) Shinn.

Patricia was formerly married to Virgil Asher and Fred King. They both preceded her in death.

Patricia worked for 20 years at Golden Manor Nursing Home as a QMA. She also had her own home health care business for many years, serving in the Ladoga and Roachdale community.

Patricia enjoyed camping, gardening, dancing, writing poetry and spending time with her family, especially during Christmas.

She was a member of Roachdale Baptist Church.

Patricia is survived by her children, Janet Mason, Bainbridge, Mike (Shelia) Asher, Roachdale, Brenda (Mike) Rice, Interlachen, Fla., Randy (Katrina) Asher, Roachdale, Dan (Cindy) Asher and Craig (Jeana) Asher, Roachdale; grandchildren Angel (Scott) Bodenhamer, Michael Asher, Cody Asher, Michael Rice, Kandi Rice, Brett Asher, Brandy Asher, Jennifer (Kenny) Robertson, Stephanie (Rich) Turner, Nellie Asher, Mason Asher and Morgan Asher; step-grandchild Jonathan Jones; and great-grandchildren Emily, Hailey, Avery, Bubby, Asher and Oliver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and siblings, Joan Eaton and John Shinn.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 11 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, Roachdale, with Pastor Shannon Ivers officiating. Burial will follow in Roachdale Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 10 at the funeral home.
