'Motorcycle Adventure' to be part of June 20 Touch-a-Truck event

The Greencastle American Legion Post 58 and Fraternal Order of Eagles 4388 are sponsoring the "ABATE of Indiana Children's Motorcycle Adventure" in conjunction with the third annual Touch-a-Truck event scheduled for Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Greencastle High School parking lot.

The Putnam County ABATE group will be there with small bikes for children to ride. They will be fitted with a helmet and the volunteers of Abate teach them in a couple laps how to steer and maneuver a motorcycle.

The children must weigh under 80 pounds. The effort is designed to introduce children to motorcycles in a safe and controlled environment.

Free hot dogs will be available for children.
