Results posted for second annual C.A.R.R. 5K Run

Overall C.A.R.R. 5K Run winner Samuel Rice of Cincinnati hits the finish line.

The second annual C.A.R.R. 5K Run, staged Saturday, June 13 starting at Deer Meadow Primary School in Greencastle, produced the following results:

-- First-place male and overall race winner: Samuel Rice, 19:38 (breaking course record by one second).

-- Second-place male: Taylor Secrest, 20:08.

-- Third-place male: Martin Wilkey, 20:18.

-- First-place female: Makenzie Carr, 22:47.

-- Second-place female: Wendy Smith, 23:44.

-- Third-place female: Vicki Wilkey, 23:50.

-- First-place finisher 12 and under: Andrew Adams, 34:29.

Costume award winners were:

-- Most Camouflaged: Kelsey Hennette.

-- Most Patriotic: Tyler Scott.

-- Most Colorful: Kamrin Holley.

-- Best Combination: Derek Harmening.

More than 150 race participants and volunteers took part in the run.
