Bob Ford, a member of the Indiana High School and Purdue University basketball Halls of Fame will highlight the guests attending the Purdue Club of Putnam County 17th annual Purdue Open Golf Scramble on Wednesday, June 24 at Windy Hill Country Club.

Since the endowment's inception, the club has awarded 41 scholarships to Putnam County students totaling $24,000 and the endowment has grown to $67,000.

By hosting the annual golf outing, the club wants to provide a permanent source of scholarships for the students of Putnam County. This year's event will begin with registration at 11 a.m. followed by a free lunch. Golf will begin with a shot gun start at 12:30 p.m.

Following the golf outing the Purdue Club will host a dinner at Autumn Glen Retirement Center at 6 p.m. to honor this year's scholarship recipients. The public is invited to both the golf outing and the dinner.

Cost for golf, including the free lunch is $50 per person. Dinner cost is $20 per person.

Gold hole sponsorships are available for $100 and Black hole sponsorships are available for $50 from the Purdue Club.
