Jamie Edwin Baker

Jamie Edwin Baker, 44, Quincy, passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 2, 2015.

He was born on Nov. 18, 1970 in Indianapolis and was the son of Herman Baker and Anna Faye (Criscillas) Baker.

He was married to Karen Lynn Hipps Baker on June 2, 1989, and she survives.

He is also survived by his children, Jamie Tyler Baker, Cloverdale, Kadie Baker, Quincy, and Chad Baker, Quincy; his brothers, Steve Baker and wife Terrie, Avon, Tim Baker and wife Melissa, Poland, and Herman Baker, Poland; his mother, Anna Faye Baker; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Joyce Hipps, Quincy, and his brother-in-law, David Hipps, Cloverdale.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Baker.

He was employed by Old Dominion Freight Line.

Jamie was an incredible man who put his family before anything else. His children and wife were his whole life.

He enjoyed camping and fishing and always was making people laugh.

Funeral services will be conduced at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 7 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.
