Harold Everett

Harold Everett, a long-time resident of the Greencastle area, died in his sleep on Thursday, July 9 at The Waters of Greencastle nursing home.

Born in 1927 in Daleville, Ind., Harold graduated from Daleville High School in 1945.

Harold was a surveyor for 6 ½ years, in the U.S. Army for one year in Korea, and worked at Delco Remy for 32 years.

He loved to fish and hunt, play bingo, and he also shot trap for 25 years.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Mary Everett; his children, Beverly, Gary and Mike; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and loved ones.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 19 at Brick Chapel Church, north of Greencastle.
