Jennifer Marie France

Jennifer Marie France, 68, of Waveland, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1946, in Crawfordsville to the late Lawrence M. and Kathryn P. (Ferrell) Grimes.

Jennifer loved her family, her children, grandchildren, her church, cooking and sewing.

She made costumes for her church and the Russellville Community Christmas Cantata and served as drama coordinator for those events.

She loved to travel and had visited most of the United States.

She married James R. France on Feb. 14, 1965 at Browns Valley Christian Church, and he survives.

She is also survived by her children, son Jamie (Amy) France of Greencastle, and daughter Julie (John) Shireley of Camby; grandchildren Nathan France, Mina Shireley, Camryn Shireley and Alicia France; three sisters, Jessica Wunder of Waveland, Rebecca (Gary) Gentry of Brighton, Mich., and Elizabeth (Charles) Nave of Waveland, and 15 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brother-in-laws, Richard Wunder and David France.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25 at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, 301 E. Green St., Waveland, with Pastor David Finch officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Grant Avenue in Crawfordsville.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 24 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Jennifer's memory may be made to Browns Valley Christian Church Building Fund.
