Featured Athlete of the Week: Lokysa Scheuermann , Golf Greencastle High School
Lokysa Scheuermann was born to Myrna and Curtis on Dec. 1, 1997. She is the youngest of four siblings.
Scheuermann's favorite subject in school is Alegbra and her favorate teacher is Donovan Wheeler.
She enjoys reading sci-fi/fantasy books and watching mystery thrillers on television.
Scheuermann's favorite food is vanilla ice cream.
Banner Graphic: What is different about being a senior?
Lokysa Scheuermann: I feel like it's a little more pressure. You're a senior and you feel like a leader of the team or the school. It's also pretty fun because it's the last year of high school.
BG: What is your favorite things about golf?
LS: I love the patience of it. It really teaches me how to be patient with myself and sitiuations in life. I think that is a requirement in all sports to make sure you are doing well and make sure that you aren't putting down other players.
BG: What was your favorite memory playing at Greencastle?
LS:All the people I've met. My opponents and the teammates I've met. They're all different in their own way. It's really cool to see how each of their personalities are?
BG: What are your plans after high school?
LS: I'm thinking about going into art history. Historical preservation. Probably to Ball State or Franklin. I really want to go staight into my master's. So that's five for six years in college. I'll probably work in an archive in a college.
