It may be all about the fun and games at Big Bounce Fun House Rentals, but it's not all just kids' stuff.

Cutting a ribbon earlier this week on its new 72 x 104-foot equipment storage and event facility, Big Bounce owners Susan and Andy Lorimer are marking their 10th year in an entertainment business that seems to be growing daily.

"One of the misconceptions," Susan Lorimer offered while awaiting the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony, "is that we have bounce houses and it's all about the kids. But we're focused more on adults and do a lot of corporate events."

And they cater to that corporate crowd with such grown-up attractions as massage chairs, an oxygen bar with aroma therapy and music as well as casino equipment designed to create a Las Vegas night. Companies often enlist those options to make for an employee appreciation day effort.

Big Bounce, with its headquarters off State Road 240 on Greencastle's East Side, works with schools, colleges, sports teams (professional and amateur), churches, businesses and festivals, as well as back-yard parties.

The Lorimers offer the newest in fun equipment, including bounces, slides, bungee trampolines, obstacle courses and more as they service all of Indiana and surrounding states.

In fact, earlier this month, they sent crews to such varied venues as Goshen, Notre Dame, Buck Creek, Plainfield and Lafayette (in addition to Greencastle and Cloverdale) -- all in one long day that started about 6 a.m.

Not only did Big Bounce serve as the "official face painters" for the 2012 Super Bowl at Indianapolis but it also has been featured in a Delta Airlines commercial and its FunFlicks outdoor movie experience ended up in the July 2011 issue of In-Style Magazine (check out page 185).

Big Bounce even came to the rescue of the community of Ferdinand with its big blow-up movie screen recently. Big Bounce was called in after a mom-and-pop company in the Southern Indiana hamlet went out of business but not before the community had advertised a big outdoor movie event.

The Lorimers were contacted and sent a crew south, and when they got there encountered a bit of a technology gap.

Apparently volunteers had painstakingly labored for hours, stretching out a large sheet which they thought the movie would be shown upon. Of course, use of the Big Bounce FunFlicks equipment negated that whole effort and assured everyone had a good time, Susan Lorimer related.

"We have been amazed how God has used our company to bring smiles to many faces," the Lorimers note. "No matter what your event is, we look forward to helping you bring the same smiles and laughter to your crowd."

Besides equipment, Big Bounce also employ specialty artists. There are even seven Santas -- with real, white beards -- who visit schools and private parties.

"We had Santa go out to a birthday party just last week," Susan Lorimer noted, "because the little girl wanted Santa to come to her house when he wasn't busy."

Big Bounce also utilizes a group of sketch artists, like Nick Nix, who was in attendance during the recent Business After Hours event sponsored by Big Bounce, to create drawings of folks like Mark and Carolyn McKee, Don and Linda Mundy and others.

  • Interesting post!

I like real-bearded Santa rather than tobacco-reeked fake beard! He is adorable. I genuinely feel to grow a beard like him is really difficult and to groom it as well. I am a beard growth fan and to enrich beard effective techniques have been introduced in the market as well as at on-line stores. This http://www.beard-growth.com/Beard-Vitamins-Supplement/ helps a lot to groom beards. Beards Rock!
