Cougars get third win of volleyball season
NASHVILLE -- The North Putnam volleyball team earned its third win of the season earlier this week when the Cougars took on Turkey Run. North Putnam swept the Warriors 25-8, 25-14, 25-19 showing more and more guts as the match progressed.
"This was a great team effort and home court win tonight. The crowd was so loud and helped our team keep the momentum," Cougar coach Brandy Dickson said.
I feel this is the best we have played all season. We dominated, played with confidence and had so much positive energy. I see the girls really gelling together and excited for each other about every point."
Senior leader Taylor Nauert led in attacking with 13 kills and four aces. Nauert also blocked four attacks and earned four digs.
Junior Lyndi Parent scored 20 assists and wen 9/11 on serving.
"They are also learning to relax out there," Moore said. "As a team we had 16 aces tonight but really need to work on decreasing on serving errors. Carlie Bundy had a great game blocking for us. I am excited to see some of our new conference competition."
No results were available from the Brown County Invite Saturday. North Putnam will play Tuesday at Eminence.
