Gleaners food giveaway set for Sept. 17 at Armory

Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana has scheduled another Senior Mobile Pantry event for Putnam County residents age 55 and older on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The latest venture is slated for 9-11 a.m. at the Greencastle National Guard Armory (corner of Arlington Street and Shadowlawn Avenue). Participants are asked not to arrive before 9 a.m.

To receive free food, residents must present an ID offering both proof of residency and age.

Participants are asked to bring their own bags or boxes to carry the food.

Seniors must come in person in order to receive food. No substitute pick-up is allowed for those unable to attend themselves.
