Deborah Kaye Covert

Deborah Kaye (Call) Covert, 61, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 after a short but hard fought battle with cancer.

Debbie was born Jan. 28, 1954 in Greencastle to Bob and Violet (Fenwick) Call.

She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1972.

She worked as a teacher's aide at Roachdale Elementary School from 1996-1999.

She was a homemaker, raising five children.

Debbie married Doug Covert on July 1, 1994, and he survives.

Survivors also include her three sons, Eric (Fara) Daugherty, Jason (Jackie) Meziere and Drew (Becky) Meziere; two daughters, Brooke (Eric) Layton and Jenna (Ryan) Livingston; six grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Chloee, Heath, Tucker and Paige, who were the lights of her life; special aunt and cousin, Berniece Snider and Brenda Kerns.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Vicki Walterman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at the funeral home
