Enlow told Deputy Adam Hull he fell asleep and drove into the median.

When the vehicle hit the crossover, it caused the lawn mower to fall off the trailer and roll several times, spilling gasoline in the median and igniting a small fire.

* At 7:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, Marisa J. Ward, 21, Greencastle, was southbound on County Road 825 East approaching a sharp curve, driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Damage was estimated at less than $1,000.

* At 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Joseph Bolin, 18, Clayton, was eastbound on State Road 240 approaching Suburban Propane in a 1995 Dodge Dakota.

Bolin told Deputy Lanning that his tie rod broke and he drifted into the oncoming lane. While he was able to steer out of the oncoming lane, Bolin's pickup went off the right side of the road.

The truck hit a concrete culvert before coming to rest in the driveway of Suburban Propane.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 1:05 p.m. Monday, Jarryd M. Mitchell, 19, Danville, was westbound on County Road 900 North approaching Pine Bluff Covered Bridge in a 1997 Dodge Dakota. Ruby Hess, 25, Indianapolis, was eastbound exiting the bridge in a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country.

* At 8:22 p.m. Tuesday, Nicholas G. Bishop, 18, Coatesville, was northbound on Heritage Drive in a 1998 Ford Windstar.

A witness, the owner of one of the mailboxes, said he was on his porch when he heard a vehicle approaching at what seemed to be a high rate of speed. The witness said the vehicle crested a hill and lost control, hitting his mailbox and another.

The witness said the vehicle then crossed a driveway, between a third mailbox and a tree, and almost went into the creek before stopping. The witness said the driver then exited the vehicle to asses the damage and then returned to his vehicle and left.

Additionally, the witness said there were no other vehicles on Heritage Drive at the time.

Bishop was cited for driving without financial responsibility and false or fictitious registration as well as issued a summons for leaving the scene of an accident.

Fitzpatrick told Reserve Deputy Rick Lambert she entered a sharp curve when her truck began to slide due to moisture from the light rain falling at the time.

The vehicle went about 100 more feet before it left the roadway, crossing the ditch and coming to rest on the edge of a field facing east.

A passerby pulled the truck back on the road. No damage was observed and Fitzpatrick was able to drive from the scene.
