Despite a new venue, the annual Taste of Putnam County event had a familiar winner Saturday of its Best Food Award and the Greencastle Chamber of Commerce Traveling Plaque. Brooke Trissel (above) of Mill Pond Mill Pond Health Campus, which won the food award for the third straight year, dishes up some of chef Patricia Shugars' tasty barbecue ribs as Freddie Hanks (center) and James Johnson await other tasters at the Community Building on the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

Attendees also sampled an addition to the tasty lineup of Lynda Dunbar-created chocolates and sweets at Completely Nuts and Candy Co. as her husband, Scott Dunbar, scoops up spiced bavarian nuts that were roasted on site at the event.
