Albert Jay Warren

Albert Jay Warren, 76, Cloverdale, died on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

Born at home on May 23, 1939 in Casey County, Ky., he was born to Johnny and Mazie (Watson) Warren.

A.J. was father to 10 children, Leslie (Christy) Warren, Greenfield, Teresa (Michael) Boucher, Knox, Ind., Melvin (Hope) Warren, Cloverdale, Darla ( Gary) Klein, Acworth, Ga., Pam (Jeri) Klein, Delacruz, Kendallville, Don Warren, Farmland, Bruce (Janet) Warren, Huntertown, Matthew (Becki ) Warren, Acworth, Ga., Rhonda (Phillips), Canon City, Colo., Walter Warren, Indianapolis,

He had 22 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. A.J. has three surviving siblings, Faye (James) Cram, Brazil, Dottie (Alan) Sheets, Florida, and Gilbert (Shelia) Warren, Cloverdale.

He had two brothers that preceded him in death, Clay Warren and John Warren. One grandchild, Kristen Klein, also preceded him in death.

A.J. spent many years working on a dairy farm and in several factories. In his younger days he was a tree trimmer.

He loved good music and sang often.

A.J. knew a lot of people and most will remember him best by his ready smile and friendly nature.

Graveside rites for family and friends will be held at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery. No flowers please.
