The Putnam County Fairgrounds has been a cherished focal point for county attractions since 1954. It provides a welcoming location for the Putnam County Fair and offers a convenient, centrally located facility for meetings, weddings, conferences and other events. This year, the fairgrounds hosted a 5K walk/run fundraiser in June that led to its success. More about the fairgrounds is available at www.putcofair.org.

The Purdue Club of Putnam County Scholarship raised $4,445 and won an additional $1,110 from the Community Foundation. The local Purdue Club has been awarding scholarships to Putnam County students who wish to attend Purdue University at West Lafayette since 2002.

It established the endowment at the Community Foundation at the end of 2003 with plans to build the endowment to $100,000. More about the scholarship is available at www.pcfoundation.org/fund_schol_purdue_club_pcsf.html.
