Banner Graphic: What is different this year about being a senior?
Taylor Nauert: Some things are similar because I've always been trying to be a leader. The biggest difference is how you are looked at more as a leader. More things and people are relying on you.
BG: What are your team goals?
TN: Win conference and get past sectionals.
BG: What will it take to accomplish that?
TN: Working together. We have all the ability to get it done, we just need to put it all together basically.
BG: What is the main difference in basketball and volleyball?
TN: It's a mental aspect. In volleyball its all six players ready to play as one. In basketball I feel like in a play, two or three people can kind of do the job.
BG: Which sport is your favorite?
TN: Volleyball. I've always loved volleyball better. I feel like I'm better at volleyball than basketball.
BG: What are some of your favorite things about your teammates?
TN: They are funny. We mess around all the time yet we get serious when we need too. We can get things done when we are focused and determined as to what we want to do.
BG: What is your best memory playing at North Putnam?
TN: It's probably my eighth-grade year playing at county. It was the third set. We were playing Greencastle and we came back from something like 13-3. We came back and won. We went to something like 18 or 19 winning.
BG: What are your post-high school plans?
TN: I'm undecided. Hopefully, I plan on playing volleyball. I plan on studying nursing or athletic training. Nursing I did a CNA class at Area 30 and I just loved it. I loved the teacher. CNA is not really my thing but I think nursing could be fun. As an athletic trainer I just want to be around sports. I think it would fun to hear their issues and everything because I've been there.
