York, Central again partner for 'Drive for the Kids'

A partnership going back several years, the Central Elementary PTO and York Chrysler Dodge Jeep have been raising funds for the school through the Chrsyler Drive for the Kids program. Parents and guests have the opportunity to earn a $10 contribution for the school from Chrysler for each test drive of a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country, Chrysler 200 or Chrysler 300. The event will take place during the Central Elementary Fall Festival from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the school. Following the 2013 event, Greg Simpson York Chrysler Dodge Jeep Sales Manager Greg Simpson presented a $1,200 check from Chrysler to Kimberly Cunningham of the Central PTO, as well as other PTO members and the Central Student Council.

On Saturday, Oct. 3, York Chrysler Dodge Jeep Inc. will partner with parents and teachers at Central Elementary for a Drive for the Kids fundraiser to help raise money during the school's fall festival.

During the festivities, parents and guests will have the opportunity to earn a $10 contribution for the school from Chrysler by taking a test drive in a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country, Chrysler 200 or Chrysler 300 vehicles.

Any licensed driver aged 18 or older may drive and earn the $10 donation on the school's behalf. York Inc. will provide 2015 model Chrysler brand vehicles, along with volunteers from the dealership, to help the school with the fundraising test drives.

All test-drive participants will also be entered into the 2015 National Giveaway for a chance to win $45,000 toward any eligible FCA US LLC-registered Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Ram, Fiat or Alfa Romeo vehicle.

Following the fundraiser, York Inc. will present a check to Central Elementary for the amount raised.

The Chrysler brand introduced the Drive for the Kids program in 1993 and became the first automotive manufacturer to reach out in direct support for local schools.

Since then, Chrysler dealers have worked with parents and educators across the nation to contribute more than $6 million to schools located in communities where the Chrysler brand and its dealers do business.
