Family Quiet Time in the Imagination Portal, 9 a.m. to noon

Looking for a little quiet in the library? Enjoy the without monitors, video games or music in the background.

Tech Help Desk, 2-4 p.m.

The Tech Help Desk has a computer technician available to give one-on-one assistance using software and electronic devices, and can help diagnose and repair computers and devices.

One Hour of Code, 4-5 p.m.

This program is designed for kids ages 9-14. Learn how to code using fun software. Sign up is required due to computer space.

Introduction to Social Networking, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Introduction to Social Networking will introduce patrons to a variety of websites devoted to socializing with others online and ways to protect privacy while enjoying a rich online social life. All classes are for beginners and are free and open to the public, but registration is required since space is limited. To sign up, visit the library website at www.pcpl21.org, call Mike at 653-2755 Ext. 118 or stop by the circulation or reference desks at the library.

Author's talk and book sale by Michael Martone, 6-7:30 p.m.

The author's talk and book sale and signing by Michael Martone, author and editor of "Winesburg, Indiana," along with contributing authors Greg Schwipps and Barbara Bean. Martone's talk is part of his annual Double Wide Book Tour of Indiana.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

Baby Time, 10:30-11 a.m.

Sing songs, read stories, play with toys, talk, and laugh with baby. Caregivers receive a free Starbucks beverage after 10 sessions. Birth through crawlers.

Thursday, Oct. 8

Tech Help Desk, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Toddler Time, 10-10:30 a.m.

Sing songs, hear stories and nursery rhymes, move around to music and action songs, and make a craft.

Pre-K Prime Time, 11-11:45 a.m.

Hear theme-based stories, move around and sing action songs, make a craft and have a small snack.
