County Jail

Several people have been booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 10:35 a.m. on Friday, Jamie Ryan Musselman, 39, no city listed, was lodged at the jail by court order.

At 3:23 p.m. Taylor Michael David Thornell, 20, Coatesville, was arrested for probation violation.

* At 2:38 a.m. on Saturday, James David Vest-Patton, Martinsville, was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.

At 8:10 a.m. James Eric Grimsley, 29, Terre Haute, was booked in for driving with a suspended license.

At 6:50 p.m. Lawrence Milton Butler, 23, Lebanon, was lodged at the jail on a Montgomery County warrant.

At 9:40 p.m. Jason Wayne Dodd, 40, Terre Haute, was arrested for trafficking contraband with an inmate.

* At 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Tara Marie Thompson, 32, Cloverdale, was charged with probation violation.

At 5:10 p.m. Jamie Tyler Baker, 23, Quincy, was booked in for probation violation and possession of a device to interfere with a drug screen.

At 6:35 p.m. David Ray Thompson, 55, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for probation violation.

At 7:45 p.m. Zachary Graham Lightner, 28, Greencastle, was arrested for bond revocation.

* At 12:25 a.m. Wednesday, Michael Noe, 24, Cloverdale, was booked in on a traffic warrant.

City Police

Two recent property-damage accidents were investigated by Greencastle City Police officers.

* At 5:25 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, a two-vehicle mishap occurred on Indianapolis Road near Percy Julian Drive.

Westbound on Indianapolis Road, Daniel Glaze, 42, Greencastle, was approaching Percy Julian Drive in a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe, when he didn't see that vehicles in front of him had stopped, Officer Nick Eastham reported.

Glaze's Tahoe then struck the rear of a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country van, driven by Tamara York, 55, Greencastle.

Total damage was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

* At 4:24 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, East Washington Street near Wood Street was the scene of a two-vehicle accident.

Jeremy Moore was approaching Wood Street, driving a 2009 Dodge Charger when he failed to see that a pick-up truck in front of him was coming to a stop, Officer Eastham reported.

Moore's car then struck the rear of a 2014 GMC Sierra, driven by Steven Littrell, 70, Avon.

Total damage was listed at $5,000-$10,000.

Sheriff's Department

Putnam County Sheriff's Department deputies have worked a pair of recent property-damage accidents.

* At 6:35 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, Jesse D. Wilcoxon, 17, Martinsville, was eastbound on U.S. 40 near County Road 475 East in a 1998 Nissan Altima when he fell asleep.

Wilcoxon told Deputy Kyle Gibbons he briefly nodded off and drifted right of the fog line. Realizing he was on the shoulder, Wilcoxon overcorrected, crossing both eastbound lanes.

The car then entered the median, where it came to rest facing west.

Wilcoxon was uninjured.

His car suffered moderate front-end damage as a result of the collision with the ditch in the median. He was able to drive to a nearby gas station to wait for a tow truck.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

* At 6:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Nicole B. Bartles, 34, Cloverdale, was backing out of her garage at a residence on State Road 42 in a 2008 Dodge Durango.

Bartles told Capt. Tom Helmer she did not see the 2008 Dodge Caliber owned by her aunt parked on the west side of the driveway. She struck the right side of the car, damaging the entire side.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to two dispatches Thursday.

* At 10:21 a.m., GFD received a phone call on station for a smoke complaint in the area of Cedar Drive. The department was unable to find any issue.

* At 10:25 a.m., GFD responded to a fire alarm at 701 E. Seminary St. The alarm was caused by dust from construction.
