Tent or Treat event set for Oct. 30 at Robe-Ann Park

Thursday, October 22, 2015

On Friday, Oct. 30 Putnam County Girl Scouts will have their annual Tent or Treat event from 5-7 p.m. at Greencastle's Robe-Ann Park.

Welcoming trick-or-treaters to the park, troops will dress up and have their tents decorated for Halloween.

Scouts will be collecting items to create "Birthday in a Bag" kits for the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry in celebration of Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low's birthday.

Donations of cake mix and icing by those attending Tent or Treat would be appreciated, Girl Scout officials said.

Meanwhile, the Girl Scouts are also conducting a Halloween costume drive, accepting any holiday costumes children have outgrown to be reused.

Costumes may be dropped off at City Hall, American Rental or brought to the Tent or Treat site.

Distribution of the costumes will be at the Tent or Treat event at the park.
