* Completing recordkeeping modernization, improving transparency, and reducing costs;

* Instituting online payment for utilities and other services to reduce cost and provide convenience to customers;

* Working with the new mayor to improve employee benefits and salaries;

* Continuing to monitor departmental spending for fraud, waste, and abuse;

* Perfecting internal control by maintaining proper segregation of duties and performing appropriate reviews;

*Maintaining professionalism with two degreed accountants;

* Maintaining certification as a grant administrator to avoid paying fees to outside consultants; and

* Maintaining employee confidentiality and professionalism in the human resources function.

Eric Wolfe -- Democrat

1. My priorities include fiscal management, government transparency, top-notch customer service and cooperation.

My Putnam County CVB Board tenure exemplifies my commitment to excellent fiscal management and transparency, which led to sweeping positive changes and proper financial oversight. My experience as a small business owner allows me to make difficult financial decisions and balance priorities. Neither candidate is a licensed accountant, but I have the business skills and positive personality to be clerk-treasurer and meet the challenges ahead.

As a successful real estate broker, I meet important deadlines and provide extraordinary customer service. I creatively problem-solve, navigate complicated legal matters, negotiate financial contracts, and serve as a trusted advisor.

Through my volunteer roles and Community Foundation work, I partnered with elected officials and other leaders to meet community needs. I take initiative and will advocate for the city when challenges arise and work alongside other officials in a spirit of teamwork.
