Russellville 'Masquerade' winners announced

RUSSELLVILLE -- The annual Russellville Halloween Social, held on Oct. 24 at the Russellville Community Center, saw a large turnout on Saturday as competitions began.

The winners are listed here in their respective positions.

Best Animal: Jordan Melvin, Orion Toepp, Carlee Hodgen, Olive Bishop, Brooklyn Day, Kassie Johnson, Jada Stine, Collin Spencer, Bethney Albright and Bently Lott.

Reserve-Grand Champion Aryanna Bailey dressed as Mary Poppins from the movie of the same name Saturday for the Russellville Community Center's Halloween Social.

Miscellaneous: Sidney Hodgen, Violet Smith, Thomas Hunley, Crystal Barnes, Trenton Oliver, Colson Everman, Benjamin Sperry, Taylor Bullerdick, Josie Walls and Everett Harmon.

Most Original (top nine): Florizabeth Omega, Dorothy Senter, Brendon Oliver, Skyler Strickland, Ari Osterhoudt, Jazlyn Wethington, Jessica Stauarz, Marilyn Anderson and Claran Richardson.

Best Characters: Jayden Keup, Chloe Oliver, Madison Albright, Brooklen Ison, Abby White, Drew McGill, Melody Fulwider, Addison Everman, Ayler Oliver and Ayden Oliver.

Best Halloween Characters: Harmony Tate, Brantley Fordice, Nevaeh Million, Tristan Million, Larissa Ison, Trinity Rossok, Kinzey Brown, Donald Bannon, Justin Bachman and Isaac Clark.

Prettiest: Lexy Oliver, Kierrah Thornburg, Jayden Odore, Lea Gregg, Sadie Oliver, Angel Lott, McKinley Oliver, Kadence Toepp, Yuna Anderson and Alaina Markle.

Best Couple/Group (top eight): David and Ethan Graves; The Phillips and Wrightman families; Cassidy and Zoe Bannon; Marleigh and Zane Sinnett; Lisa Albright's team; Rusty, Thomas and Eric Chaplain; Lynna Newlin and Addy; and Kevin, Kerri and Tucker Crowe.

Ugliest: Hayden Overfelt, Kevin Kays, Samantha Harmon, Aiden Richardson, Kole Martellaro and Beau Spencer.

Sponsors for prize money during this year's masquerade were Ron and Sye Higgins from Ron's Wrecker Service; Chet and Leslie Clodfelter with Greencastle Physical Therapy; Tri-County Bank in Russellville; Co-Alliance in Russellville; Dr. Wendy Watt with Watt Family Medical; Jim Baird (state representative with District 44) of Indiana Home Health Care; Curt and Cindy Wrightsman farm along with North Salem State Bank; HGB Insurance and Bonds in Greencastle; Dave Grimes with Russellville Elevator; and Jason Hartman from the Harrison Street Tavern.

A treat bag was given to all participants in the masquerade -- the bags were provided by Darrell Wiatt (president of the Community Center) Kroger of Crawfordsville, Kroger of Greencastle and Walmart of Crawfordsville. Laryland Pumpkins donated many gourds pumpkins for decorations.
