Singer Davies to join Ellusion Friday during performance at Swizzle Stick

Mary Bridget Davies, a notable singer-actress from Cleveland, will perform with the popular regional band Ellusion Friday night at The Swizzle Stick on the north side of the courthouse square in Greencastle.

The music is scheduled for 9 p.m. until midnight.

A regular performer at the Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis, Davies has backed been backed by Ellusion at Blues festivals and other outings.

She performs with her own band, The Mary Bridget Davies Group, and is also an award-winning interpreter of Janis Joplin's music.

Davies received a Tony Award nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Musical for her performance as Janis in "A Night with Janis Joplin."

Her band, The Mary Bridget Davies Group, released an album with original songs titled "Wanna Feel Somethin'" in 2011.

Ellusion, a Terre Haute-based rock group that plays blues, funk, rock, alternative and pop, has performed a number of times at The Swizzle Stick as well as during the annual Greencastle Music Festival sponsored by Almost Home.

Members of Ellusion are Thomas Kelly, singer/harp; Jeremy Bates, guitar/vocals; Dusty Maninfior, saxophone/keys/vocals; Tom Whiteman, drums, and Perc Adam Goode, bass guitar.

Ellusion typically performs in Indianapolis, Louisville, Chicago, St. Louis and everywhere in between.
