Rose Dykstra, 92, of Orange City, Iowa, formerly of Maurice, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at the Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City.

There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 1:30 p.m., at the First Reformed Church in Maurice. The Revs. Donald De Kok and Gary Hegstad will officiate.

Interment will follow at the Sherman Township Cemetery, near Maurice.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday, with the family present from5-7 p.m. at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Terry (Karen) Dykstra, of Alton; Allyson (Dan) Te Grotenhuis, of Greencastle; Philip (Kathy) Dykstra, of Maurice; Emilee (Dr. Al) Vellinga, of St. Charles, Mo.; and Rochelle "Chelly" (Roy) Larson, of Eden Prairie, Minn.; 15 grandchildren, Lea (Adam) Hoyhtya, Julie (Jim) Haack, and Gina (Gered) De Hoogh; Joshua Te Grotenhuis and Abby (Matt) Chatelain; Vicki (Justin) Schrock, Loren (Melissa) Dykstra, David (Amanda) Dykstra, and Katie (Sean) Schuller; Nicole (Bo) Cook, Ashley (Kyle) Jackson, and Carlee Vellinga; and David Larson, Daniel Larson, and Andrew Larson; 30 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Florence Bloemendaal, of Ceres, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Alice (Cleveringa) Bloemendaal; her husband, Lawrence "Lorry" Dykstra; a granddaughter, Wendy Dykstra; four brothers and their wives; and three sisters and their husbands.

Memorials will be directed to Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon.
