The Law Office of Jeffrey A. Boggess announces the addition of Austin Malayer as an associate attorney with the law firm.

Malayer was born and raised in Bainbridge and graduated from North Putnam High School in 2008. He is the son of Brad and Shelle Malayer.

Malayer was admitted to practice law on Sept. 28 after graduating from Indiana University Law School in the spring. He has worked and tried cases in the local courts as an intern certified by the Indiana Supreme Court, under the supervision of Jeff Boggess, since the beginning of this year.

He earned his bachelor's degree from DePauw University in 2012. While at Depauw, Malayer also traveled extensively, visiting Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands and Italy. During these trips he studied the structure and operation of those governments as well as the European Union. He also interned with a trial court judge and distinguished local attorney while in college.

Malayer is an avid golfer and plays in numerous Putnam County charity golf events, such as the Mary Allison Children's Trust, the Greencastle Chamber of Commerce and the Putnam County Purdue Alumni outings. He was a 10-year 4-H member, exhibiting cattle and sheep in the Putnam County Fair, Indiana State Fair and numerous open shows across the country.

Malayer has a passion for individual rights and welcomes new cases in the criminal defense and family law areas. Friends and well wishers are welcome to stop by the office at 15 N. Indiana St. in Greencastle, or call him at 653-0477 to congratulate him on his achievements and future career.

The Law Office of Jeffrey A. Boggess is a full-service law firm, dedicated to providing skilled legal advice to the local community. Practice areas include estate planning, business advice, civil litigation, personal injury, family law and criminal defense.
