North Putnam High School will stage the classic comedy "Arsenic and Old Lace" this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13-14.

Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. with tickets, priced at $5, available at the door.

The comedy is directed by Dustin Bond.

The audience will meet the charming and innocent ladies of Brooklyn Martha (Audrey Barger) and Abby Brewster (Rachel Moore), who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously "acceptable" roomers.

That comes much to the surprise of the ladies' nephew, Mortimer Brewster (Cameron Wunderlich), who has just announced his engagement to Elaine Harper (Hailey Wilson), the daughter of their minister, Dr. Rev. Harper (Brandon Wunderlich).

Mortimer is in for a long night with the antics of his brother who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt (Jared Frynce), and the activities of the other brother, Jonathon Brewster (Jakob Spangler), and his companion Dr. Einstien (Elizabeth Graves).

Along for the evening are Officer Brophy (Morgan Asher), Officer Klein (Rhiannon Knutti), Officer O'Hara (Paige Patterson), Lt. Rooney (Sarah Asher), Mr. Gibbs (Alan Zerkle) and Mr. Witherspoon (Jason Chew).

The stage crew consists of Brandon Wunderlich and Erin McDaniel.
