Marvin Charles Lang, 85, of Harrison, Ohio died on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015.

Born Sept. 28, 1930 in Cedar Grove, Ind., he was the son of the late August & Lucille (Fliehman) Lang.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. On October 31, 1959 he and the former Janet Ida Brackney were united in marriage. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2004.

Marvin was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Harrison; a member and past board member of the Franklin County Antique Machinery Club, as well as the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion in Brookville.

In his leisure time he enjoyed being with his family, camping and being outdoors.

Survivors include a son, Mark Lang of Harrison; a daughter Carrie (Chris) Roesener of Harrison; two grandchildren, Luke and Laurel Roesener; two brothers, Don (Arlene) Lang of Cincinnati and Bill (Shirley) Lang of Liberty, Ind.

In addition to his parents and wife Janet, he was preceded in death by brothers Paul (Eddie) and Ray (Ruby) Lang and a sister, Mary Helen (Joe) Addison.

Rev. Jeff Kemper will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Holy Guardian Angels Chapel, 405 U.S. Highway 52, Cedar Grove. Burial with full military graveside honors by the Bernard Hurst Post 77 of the American Legion will then follow in Holy Guardian Angels Cemetery in Cedar Grove.

Family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of service at Holy Guardian Angels Chapel in Cedar Grove.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Holy Guardian Angels, Franklin County Antique Machinery Club or the St. John the Baptist Future Home Building Fund.
