County Jail

Several people have been booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 1:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Wayne Allen Adams, 42, Poland, was arrested for probation violation.

At 2 p.m. Kendra Michelle Rasnake, 28, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a Boone County warrant.

At 6:30 p.m. Nicholas Lane Cooper, 45, Monrovia, was booked in on a warrant for possession of paraphernalia.

At 6:45 p.m. Melissa Hargis-McClulough, 44, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

At 6:45 p.m. Edward Thomas Misamore, 43, Plainfield, was arrested on a warrant for nonsupport of a dependent.

At 6:45 p.m. Rodney Milton Moore, 23, Quincy, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

At 9:45 p.m. John Columbus McCoy, 24, Indianapolis, was booked in on a Hamilton County warrant for driving with a suspended license

* At 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Nicholas Paul Olson, 27, Avon, was held at the jail on a Hendricks County warrant.

At 8:30 p.m. Jesse Lance Monnett, 25, Cloverdale, was arrested on a Hendricks County warrant for possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

At 11:20 p.m. Terry Wayne Morris, 34, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail on a Marion County warrant for armed robbery.

* At 2:02 a.m. Lourdes Milagros Chavez, 38, Rochester Hills, Mich., was lodged at the jail for operating while intoxicated.

City Police

Two arrests were reported Wednesday night by Greencastle City Police officers.

* At 11:40 p.m., Officer Kyle Lee went to an East Walnut Street residence to serve two Putnam County warrants on Jeremy Dale West, 38, Greencastle, for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. West was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

In making the arrest, Lee reportedly discovered methamphetamine and a syringe, arresting West for possession of those two items in addition to the outstanding warrants.

At the same time, Erica Brooke Clodfelter, 32, Greencastle, was also arrested and lodged in the jail on charges of possession of a syringe and possession of a synthetic drug.

Meanwhile, city officers also issued two recent citations for driving with a suspended license:

* At 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, Pamela Brown, 26, New Castle, was cited by Reserve Officer Cameron Paul.

Stopped on Veterans Memorial Highway, Brown was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

* At 8:21 p.m. Saturday, Corey Reeves, 27, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Lee.

Stopped on Quail Ridge Drive, Reeves was cited for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

Sheriff's Department

Putnam County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to seven recent property-damage accidents.

* At 9:22 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, Mandi S. Garl, 19, Greencastle, was westbound on East Rangeline Road in a 2006 Honda Civic when she lost traction.

Garl told Deputy Kyle Gibbons she was going through a curve and began to slide on the wet road. The vehicle spun 180 degrees before leaving the road and hitting a ditch on the north side.

Garl was not injured and declined medical attention.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 4:13 p.m. on Sunday, Elizabeth J. Rasmussen, 51, New Ross, was parked at the Bainbridge Saddle Club in a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Rasmussen told Deputy Anthony Brown she thought she had enough room to pull forward and make a right turn without striking the 2004 Pontiac Grand Am parked in the space to the right.

As she was pulling forward, her vehicle hit the left front fender of the Grand Am owned by Aerial McCloud of Ladoga.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

* At 3:40 p.m. on Monday, Kylee R. Standish, 21, Coatesville, was southbound on County Road 800 East in a 2002 Kia Spectra and started to round the curve onto County Road 525 North as Renee E. Bergen, 43, Coatesville, was approaching the curve, eastbound on 525 North.

Standish told Lt. Donnie Pettit she started to brake but her car slid into the oncoming lane on the wet pavement, striking Bergen's truck.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 5:41 a.m. on Tuesday, Julie A. Wilson, 44, Coatesville, was westbound on State Road 240 in a 2014 Ford Edge when she struck a deer.

Deputy Stephen Smith listed damage at $1,001-$2,500.

* At 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Carla L. Maga, 54, Cloverdale, was eastbound on County Road 1200 South in a 2008 Kia Optima when she hit a deer.

Deputy Matt Biggs estimated damage at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Patrick D. Moore, 46, New Ross, was southbound on U.S. 231 approaching Plessinger Hill in a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado.

Moore told Deputy Brown that as he approached the hill, his truck began to fishtail. He could not control the truck and it spun into the northbound lanes, coming to rest against a small tree and a utility pole guy wire on the east side of the road.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

* At 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday, E. Ann Hawkins, 68, Reelsville, was eastbound on U.S. 40, approaching U.S. 231 in a 2005 Ford F250 when she hit a deer.

Deputy Gibbons estimated damage at $2,501-$5,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to five dispatches recently, as well as one medical assist and one lift assist.

* At 9:14 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 522 Anderson St. Old Miller School is currently under renovation, the cause of the alarm was not known.

* At 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 1014 Mill Pond Ln. The alarm was disregarded upon arrival.

* At 11:31 on Wednesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 303 S. Locust St. The cause of the alarm could not be determined.

* At 3:46 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a single-car accident at the intersection of Jackson and Hanna streets.

* At 1:49 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a car accident that resulted in injuries at 3997 S. CR 275 E. A vehicle had left the roadway and struck a garage at the intersection.
