Putnamville Correctional Facility and Superintendent Brian Smith recently awarded two Correctional Professionals Assistance Fund of Indiana (CPAFI) college scholarships to deserving staff.

Release specialist John Dawson was proud for his son Matthew Dawson, who is currently a freshman at Purdue University. With his current majors of plant genetics and plant breeding, as well as his double major in biotechnology and biochemistry, Matthew is pleased to have the financial help in the goals he has for his education and career.

Recipient Elesha Hidalgo, classification supervisor, was elated to receive support from CPAFI in the continuance for her education. She is currently working on her master's degree from the University of Phoenix, majoring in criminal justice and security administration.
