Betty Sue Kiger

Betty Sue Kiger, 79, of Greencastle, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015 at Asbury Towers, Greencastle.

She was born on May 11, 1936 in Indianapolis to the late Charles Trail Jr. and Marjorie Rogers.

On May 27, 1954, in Greencastle, Betty married Everett Joe Kiger. They were married more than 51 years before he passed away on Sept. 17, 2005.

Betty worked on the assembly line at Mallory's in Greencastle for more than 35 years.

She was a vibrant lady, full of life who loved to go exploring. But more importantly she loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids.

She was a member of North Salem United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Danny (Betsy) Kiger, Bainbridge, Kathy (Kiger) Wilson, Bainbridge, Bobby (Vanessa) Kiger, Plainfield, Stacia (Rene) Lopez, St. Petersburg, Fla.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett; brother Bobby Trail; one daughter, Pamela Kamplain; and one son-in-law, Doug Strickler.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home 301 E. Green St., Waveland, with Pastor Larry Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the funeral home.
