Greencastle Parks Dept. sets gingerbread house contest

What will be designated the most creative entry at this year's Holiday Challenge of Gingerbread Houses Decorations?

The Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department invites residents to enter the Gingerbread House Decorating from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2 at City Hall, 1 N. Locust St.

This event is free. All entries must be made out of edible ingredients, including house and decorations. All entries must also be carried into City Hall, displayed all day and judged at the monthly park board meeting on Thursday, Dec. 3.

Awards will be presented to first and second places in three divisions: Individual, Family and Organization. Registration forms have a complete set of rules. Judging and awards will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3.

Registration forms are available at the Greencastle City Hall, the Putnam County Public Library, Greencastle Pediatric Dentistry DDS.
