County Jail

Four people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Tuesday.

* At 12:25 a.m. Erik David Wilburn, 28, Fillmore, was arrested for operating as a habitual traffic violator, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia

* At 12:12 p.m. Shawna Renee Gouckenour, 33, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for operating while intoxicated.

* At 9:33 p.m. Brian Steven Doane, 33, Indianapolis, was charged with driving with a suspended license, operating while intoxicated and possession of a handgun without a permit.

* At 11:15 p.m. Mark Alan Scheler, 53, Greencastle, was booked in as a habitual traffic violator.

Sheriff's Department

Putnam County sheriff's deputies responded to one recent auto accident.

* At 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Shayne C. Frost, 40, Bainbridge, was northbound on County Road 250 East approaching County Road 900 North in a 2015 Hyundai Sonata when he hit a deer.

Deputy Matt Biggs estimated estimated damage at $10,001-$25,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to one dispatch.

* At 10:49 on Thursday, GFD responded to a gas leak at 1901 E. State Road 240, prompting an odor investigation. The leak, detected at one of Ascena's "out" buildings, was ultimately turned over to Vectren.
