Ryan Coble scored 31 points Tuesday night to lead the Tiger Cubs to a 62-47 win over Cascade.

Coble finished with a double-double, leading the team with 12 rebounds and adding five assists. Nick Costin scored 13 points, Colin York scored 10 and Devin Clar added four as the Greencastle starters scored all but four of their total points.

"I liked how we got other guys involved tonight," Greencastle coach Troy Greenlee said. "Ryan had a great game, but I thought Nick Costin stepped up for us and other guys did well for us on both ends on the floor."

The Tiger Cubs found most of their success when getting the ball to the basket. That resulted in trips to the free throw line where they shot 18-of-21 for the game.

Greencastle reached the bonus midway through the third quarter and closed the game out in the fourth quarter on 4-of-6 shooting from the field and 13-of-15 from the line.

"That's one thing I've always believed in -- you have to get the ball in the paint whether with a post guy or getting a guard to penetrate the lane. That's when you create for yourself or create for other teammates," Greenlee said. "That's one thing we can learn from this and keep improving on."

Cascade led early on with a 14-10 lead after the first quarter, but it could have been greater as six of Cascade's 10 points came on second chance points.

The Tiger Cubs led 23-18 at the half and 41-33 after three quarters. They then created some distance between Cascade with a 10-2 run to start the fourth quarter.

Adding on from their great night at the free throw line, Greencastle shot 41 percent from the floor (21-of-51). They outrebounded Cascade 43-33 and tallied 10 assists.

Cascade struggled against Greencastle's zone defense, shooting 33 percent (18-of-53). However, it was their 3-point shooting that really let them down as they shot just 10 percent (2-of-19) from beyond the arc.

Cascade was led by Dalton DuBois's 13 points and Brock Stephenson's 11.

Greencastle hits the break with a 4-4 record, while Cascade drops to 1-7.

"It was a good win for us after coming off an emotional win on Saturday (against Cloverdale), Greenlee said. "I'm always anxious to see how our guys are going to respond after a tough night or a good night, and I thought we did some good things."
