Tiger swim team beats Ohio Wesleyan

DELAWARE, Ohio - The 15th-ranked Tigers picked up firsts in seven events and defeated Ohio Wesleyan, 116-82.

Brandon Sholtis and Mitchell Davis led the way with a pair of first-place finishes each. Sholtis won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.15 and the 100 butterfly in 54.53, while Davis touched first in the 100 individual medley in 55.36 and in the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.17.

Charlie Nash took first in the 1000 free in 10:23.01 as did Eli Anderson in the 100 backstroke in 54.83. David Freund swam exhibition in the 500 free, but posted the fastest time at 5:01.51.

DePauw's 200 medley relay of Blake Lehmann, Davis, Sholtis and Sam McManus won in 1:37.77.

The Tigers return to action tomorrow at 1 p.m. at top-ranked Denison.
