Spirit of Giving

Central Elementary third-graders get into the spirit of the holiday season by giving, not receiving. Each year instead of a gift exchange, they pick a charity and make donations. This year they picked the Humane Society of Putnam County. Sandra Grimes (right) spoke with the students about the animal shelter and all it does for the county. She also discussed being a responsible pet owner. The visit was also a chance to pick up a table full of donations from (front, from left) Chlara Pistelli, Danae Cline, Madison Stahl, (back) Grant Jackman, Riley Romalia, Mark Bumgardner, Taylor Dunn, Amber Henigin and Megan Bumgardner.
