CLOVERDALE -- Forty points from Cooper Neese and another 23 from Jalen Moore helped pave the way to an easy win for Cloverdale over Clay City Saturday.

The win comes after another big victory Friday night against Cascade.

Cloverdale put up 20 in the first quarter and 19 in the second holding the Eels to 13 in both for a 39-26 hafltime lead.

Cloverdale then scored 19 again in the third while holding Clay City to just 12. The fourth was the only winning quarter for the Eels but it wasn't enough to grab the lead.

Neese went 4-8 from long-range and shot 62 percent from the floor. He also pilled down 12 rebounds earning his second straight double-double.

Moore led the team with five of the teams 11 steals.

Cloverdale (11-6, 4-1 WIC) will now have more than a week off before playing Shakamak on Jan. 26.

The North Putnam boys' basketball team had a hard time getting anything rolling against WIC Eastern Division rival Brown County losing 44-15.

The Cougars will next travel to Cascade (1-11, 0-4 WIC) for another WIC East matchup Saturday.
