The Kiwanis Club of Greencastle welcomed new member Rebecka "Becky" Howard at its Jan. 21 meeting with club secretary Paul Champion (left) and Andrew Ranck, Howard's sponsor, doing the introduction honors. The club now has 40 members who work to fulfill the Kiwanis purpose of "Improving the World One Child and One Community at a time." The club invites others who are interested in learning more about Kiwanis to meet on Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. at the Inn at DePauw. Kiwanis International is 101 years old. The Greencastle Club will celebrate its 95th anniversary on May 25 with an open house in the Kiwanis Room at the Putnam County Public Library from 1-3 p.m. All are invited to come celebrate the improvements in Putnam County that have come about due to the efforts of local Kiwanians.
