Parke County REMC to sponsor students at Touchstone Energy Camp

The Parke County REMC will sponsor five students at the annual Touchstone Energy Camp from June 8-11 at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston.

Students entering seventh grade in 2016 will be selected by their local cooperative to participate in the three-day program. Students will participate in activities that combine traditional outdoor camp activities with environmental education, electrical safety practices and cooperative business education.

"This is a great way for students to learn about the role of the electric cooperative in their community," Manager of Marketing and Communications Carolyn Kilby said. "On top of that, they get to experience all the fun of camp."
