BETH HANSEN has been named to the Grinnell College dean's list for the fall semester 2015.

Hansen is one of 295 students honored for outstanding academic achievement by Grinnell College. To make the Dean's List, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or above.

Hansen is the child of Dr. Jeffrey A. Hansen and Mrs. Gayle R. Hansen of Greencastle.


Ball State University has announced the names of students who graduated and/or were included on the dean's list and graduate list during the fall 2015 semester.

The fall 2015 Dean's List for Ball State University, including out-of-state and international listings, recognizes undergraduates who earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average for 12 or more credits of graded course work during a semester or for 6 or more credits of graded course work during a summer term.

Coatesville's SAMANTHA FLANNELLY and ALAN SKILLERN, along with Fillmore natives GWEN MAZUR and JAKE RIGGEN joined Bainbridge dweller ELLEN WILBORN made the Dean's List for the fall semester in 2015.

Dean's List honorees are flanked by three Graduate List honorees who are also from Putnam County. CHARLIE CAMPBELL (Greencastle), RACHEL KIENTZ (Coatesville) and KAYLA DATZMAN (Coatesville) all made the Graduate List for the fall semester in 2015.

The Graduate List is a list of students who graduated from Ball State University in fall 2015.


Five Putnam County students were named to the Franklin College dean's list for the fall 2015 semester.

Students named to the dean's list have achieved academic distinction by earning a 3.5 grade point average or above.

NATHAN CLARK BRYAN, a senior, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bryan of Greencastle.

ERIKA A. DAVIS, a junior, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Colin Davies of Bainbridge.

KATHARINE LYNN HEDGE, a senior, is the daughter of Robert and Sherry Hedge of Greencastle.

ALEXIS TAYLOR VARVEL, a freshman, is the daughter of David and Miranda Varvel of Greencastle.

CODY DONOVAN WARREN, a senior, is the son of Ronald Warren and Tricia Warren, both of Reelsville.


AMBER COLLINS of Greencastle has been named to the University of the Cumberlands president's list for the 2015 fall semester.

To be eligible students must have achieved a grade of "A" in convocation while maintaining a minimum grade point average of 4.0.
