Second Legislative Update program of 2016 session set Saturday

Putnam County Farm Bureau Inc. is again hosting its Legislative Update sessions on the third Saturday of each month the Indiana General Assembly is in session.

The next 8 a.m. program, open to the public, is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20 in the Farm Bureau board room at 1001 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

Scheduled to discuss the status of this year's state legislative activities are District 44 State Rep. Jim Baird (R-Greencastle), District 24 State Sen. Pete Miller (R-Avon) and District 37 State Sen. Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville).

Coffee and cinnamon rolls will be provided.

A third local Legislative Update session in March will depend upon how long the current session of the Indiana General Assembly continues. Tentatively, it would be on Saturday, March 19 if the legislature is still in session.
