With a marquee invitation to "let the season begin," Greencastle landmark The Dairy Castle opened on Monday. As temperatures remained below freezing and snow lingered on the ground, it remained unclear exactly what "season" that was, but the weather didn't stop local ice cream addicts from keeping the summertime pit stop hopping. A full parking lot and a line that stretched around the building was a testament to the eatery's popularity, even in the chilly middle of February.
