Thelma Margaret Gooch

Thelma Margaret Gooch, 95, of Plainfield, formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016.

Born Dec. 14, 1920 in Murdock, Ill., she was the daughter of Roy and Myrtle (Bennett) Starwalt.

She was a graduate of Bellmore High School.

She married Dallas Gooch on June 29, 1947.

Thelma was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Cathy (Douglas) Kaiser and Cindy (Gooch) Reussow; brothers Kenneth (Wanda) Starwalt and Ervin Starwalt; sisters, Marilyn (Steve) Morgan and Carolyn Burrell; a sister-in-law, Jane Church; six grandchildren, Jason See, Julie (Aaron) Toombs, Cody (Aren) Flint, Nicholas Kaiser, Kayla Kaiser, and Joseph Kaiser; four great grandchildren, Ryan and Bradley See and Tanner and Brooklyn Toombs.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dallas Gooch in 2010; a daughter, Carol See; her parents, a sister, Virginia Merriweather; brothers, Charles, Harold, and Darrell Starwalt.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
