MARTINSVILLE -- Two men with Cloverdale addresses were among three arrested in connection with a reported Morgan County marijuana-growing operation.

Fifty marijuana plants were reportedly seized by deputies Thursday after a warrant was served on an Alaska Road home near the Putnam-Morgan county line, the Morgan County Sheriff's Department said Friday.

Arrested and lodged in the Morgan County Jail at Martinsville were brothers Thomas Day, 54, and James Day, 48, both of Cloverdale.

The Days are facing preliminary charges of possession of marijuana greater than 30 grams, cultivation of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.

Also arrested was Brian Day, 21, Manchester, Tenn., on a charge of visiting a common nuisance. He is said to be the son of Thomas Day.

Authorities said that while serving the warrant, deputies discovered a marijuana-growing operation -- including fertilizer, lamps and insulation materials used to grow pot indoors -- in the upstairs section of the home.
