Donor cultivation to be topic of local March 8 workshop

Sunday, March 6, 2016

The March workshop in the 2016 Nonprofit Learning Series, sponsored by the Putnam County Community Foundation and the Montgomery County Community Foundation, will welcome Tim Ardillo back to Greencastle to continue the discussion of nonprofit fundraising.

The workshop will take place on March 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Inn at DePauw in Greencastle.

Cost of the workshop is only $15 if registered and paid by March 2 or $25 at the door.

Tim Ardillo, CFRE and consultant with Johnson Grossnickle and Associates, has 20 years of fundraising experience ranging from annual fund development, major and planned giving, and campaigns.

The workshop will focus on developing strategies and employing best practices in donor cultivation to increase major and planned gifts.

"Past donors are gems hiding in plain sight, waiting for a little cultivation to become future champions of your mission," Ardillo noted.

During the workshop, the protocol for a structured discussion with donors to assess their philanthropic interests and the intersection of such interests with your organization will be discussed.

The Nonprofit Learning Series is designed to enrich and advance nonprofit associations, organizations, churches and units of government.

The cost includes the workshop, a catered lunch and all workshop materials.
