Mary Catherine Boswell

Mary Catherine Boswell, 82, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016.

Born May 7, 1933 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Cox) Lukenbill.

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School and had also attended school at Bainbridge.

Mary was the president of Boswell Tree Service.

She had previously worked at Walmart as a cashier, a housemother at SAE fraternity at DePauw University and a seamstress at Max's Clothing Shop in Greencastle.

She was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her children, Susan K. Lanham, Bainbridge, Wanda J. (Mike) Pugliese, Bainbridge, Linda Steele and companion, Ed Mishler, Greencastle, Tim J. (Susan) Boswell, Austin, Texas, and Jason Boswell and companion, Electa Cancilla, Greencastle; brothers Marion Lukenbill, Wm. "Bill" Lukenbill and Keith Lukenbill, all of Brownsburg; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert Boswell; daughter, Dona J. Robinson; parents; brother Charles Lukenbill; sister Shirley Rooker; and grandsons, John and Wade Robinson and Billy and George Lanham.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 11 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with interment to follow at Clinton Falls Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 at the funeral home.
