CHS faces Indiana's best

The Cloverdale boys' basketball team (18-7) will next play against Northeastern (22-4) in the IHSAA Greenfield-Central Regional semifinal on Saturday morning. The game will be at 10 a.m. with the winner to play tonight at 8 p.m. against Indianapolis Howe or Indianapolis Broad Ripple.
Northeastern came out tops in the Hagerstown sectional, defeating Centerville in the championship.
On paper the Knights are about three points better than the Clovers in all but one category. Cloverdale and Northeastern both record 29 rebounds per game.
Northeastern scores 69 points per game, shoots 47 percent, earns 14 assists, 11 steals and three blocks. Cloverdale scored 66 points per game, with a 42 percent shooting percentage, 10 assists, nine steals and one block per game.
The Knights have four players scoring in the double figures with their junior Tyler Smith, a 6-2 guard netting 20 points per game. Northeastern's 6-7 senior center Robert Smith posts 15 points and nine boards per game.
Cloverdale will have the advantage of Cooper Neese's 29 points with nine rebounds per game as well Jalen Moore's 18 points and four assists per game.
